Product Marketing Manager
REMOTE (US based) | Full-time
The product marketing manager is responsible for ensuring that product features and functionality are being used and understood by all users of the Digital Onboarding platform, which includes the management of cross-functional go-to-market activities, beta programs with internal and external users, and training on new features and functionality.
As the product marketing manager, you'll lead highly visible go-to-market programs with input from key stakeholders in the organization, and internal and external users of the platform. You will be called upon to collaborate with product management to fully understand the existing functionality or new functionality being launched, turn that into awareness, training on the functionality and the value, and critical feedback loops for both internal and external users of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to build out go to market needs, on new functionality and solutions, being launched.
- Provide clear dates and timelines on all cross-functional work streams, and dependencies across work streams, to ensure timelines are met.
- Create clear reporting, for the executive leadership team to understand, any slips and what mitigations are needed to get back on track.
- Help create and manage our beta program, to ensure that functionality is ready for the broader market, and is consistently being managed, with the appropriate gates, and definitions for a beta to be complete.
- Collaborate with marketing, in the creation of marketing tools needed, that explain the FI benefits, their end user benefits, and why it’s different in the market, and any driving industry direction, for the new features, functionality and solutions.
- Responsible for competitive and industry analysis, and that market feedback loop into product management and marketing, to help drive future enhancements, and value proposition strengths & weaknesses.
- Help productize new features, functionality and solutions by creating user guides in the Digital Onboarding platform working closely with marketing and the product creative manager
- Provide reporting on how users are interacting with the guides and recommendations with that reporting on where we can look to improve engagement
- Assist with product reports on how existing customers are using the product or lack there of and provide recommendations on that research and create additional programs to ensure there is the right level of awareness of those features that are under utilized
- When needed, be the product’s spokesperson in customer advisory groups and quarterly customer forums, in working with the CPO, Director of Product Management, and other key stakeholders on relevant topics, inclusive of industry drivers, and ensure a managed feedback loop that can be actioned by the product management team.
- Collaborate internally with externally facing teams to understand common challenges, common strengths, and knowledge gaps on features and functionality to help optimize those areas of the platform .
- Create programs off of this collaboration, to ensure the platform is being used correctly, positioned with value, and loved.
Experience
- 5+ years of Industry knowledge within the financial institution space
- 5+ years with a previous role, or a combination of these roles, in product marketing, brand marketing, marketing strategies, product management, marketing communications
- 2+ years of recent experience in working intensively with marketing automation products, in the above roles or in marketing operations, or other hands-on marketing roles
- History of successfully managing and executing, cross-functional go to market strategies, with executive level visibility
- Experience with presenting to large customer groups and audiences, with the ability to win a crowd over with your knowledge, understanding of the audience, and what’s important to them
Skills & Requirements
- Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Clear communicator with strong presentation skills is a must
- Ability to research and analyze information and turn that into clear and actionable quantitative insights
- Marketing automation experience strongly desired
- Working with or for financial institutions is strongly preferred
- Salesforce experience is a nice to have but knowledge on CRMs is strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience with regularly communicating with customers’ and business teams
